Good Science

When looking at functional disorders such as IBS, Fibromyalgia and CFS/ME we need to use good science. The medical profession has a tendency to put the blame on the patient when they don’t understand a disorder. It’s important to remember that if a patient’s signs and symptoms don’t match the doctor’s hypothesis then the fault lies with the hypothesis not with the patient. This is expressed succiently by the physicist Richard Feynman: –
